A beautiful framed wood engraving by the hand of Madeleine Lemaire.This engraving was made around 1888.This engraving by Lemaire was colored by hand. I suspect it was made as an illustration for a portfolio containing essays of French artists. The engraving measures 12 x 8.5 cms. and the frame measures: 22 x 17.5 cm. Lemaire’s autograph is printed in the plate, in right corner.

The condition of this artwork is very good! The frame and matte are also in good condition. A special gift, very fresh looking, ready to decorate your wall!
